Description

With stunning views of the Cornish coastline from St Ives Bay to Trevose Head, some 40 miles away, Polmanter makes an ideal location for touring caravans and family camping.

Polmanter offers a very high standard throughout all the amenities within the Park, which is divided into meadows with all pitches individually numbered and marked out.

There is a children's paddling pool area and all children must be accompanied by an adult when using the pool which is open from Whitsun to mid-September.

The roomy but cosy lounge has a well stocked bar and there is an attractive family room and conservatory for meals and drinks. There is also a take away food counter that can be found near the conservatory. These are all open from Whitsun to mid-September.

The self-service shop sells most requirements and is also open seven days a week from Whitsun to mid-September.

Polmanter is a family park and does not accept bookings from single sex groups.

Local Attractions

St Ives offers a range of interests to the visitor. Its quaint cobbled streets flanked by picturesque fishermans’s cottages give away its history of the sea. In past years fishing was the prime economy in St. Ives and the port still boasts a small fishing fleet which catch a range of “fruits of the sea” that can be seen landed daily on the quay. There are many art galleries in the town which still has a thriving artists’ colony.

In 1995 The Tate Gallery opened its striking building overlooking Porthmeor beach and this has become a major draw to visitors who visit the town.
